longIBD
Longitudinal work on inflammatory bowel disease — connecting clinical phenotypes, immune mechanisms, and computational approaches to better understand disease course and classification, with a particular focus on anti–IL-10 IBD. Includes biomarker trajectories, patient-reported outcomes, and related longitudinal measures.

IBD longitudinal immunology IL-10 autoantibodies biomarkers PROs
The longIBD project frames IBD as a longitudinal, mechanism-aware problem: tying clinical trajectories to immune pathways (including phenocopies of monogenic disease) and computational models that can scale across patients and datasets. Work spans biomarker trajectories, patient-reported outcomes, and related longitudinal measures at the Centre for Human Genetics and the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences — with co-supervision from Dan Woodcock (NDS) for the master’s thesis thread, and collaboration with Johnson & Johnson Experimental Medicine. A central theme is anti–IL-10 autoantibody–mediated IBD — from infantile phenocopies of IL-10 signalling defects through to adult cohorts linked to HLA-DRB1*01:03.
